we don't really "do" Valentine's Day here in the Hall house, we kind of think it's nicer to be loved every day!! However, I was just a little bit excited when yesterday I received these:
Aren't they sweet?? Who from you ask? Well, that was the sweetest part of all...

This little bundle - my darling little Elvis - saved up all his pocket money to buy his Mummy Valentine's Day flowers!! Have you ever SEEN a more adorable Valentine? Isn't he sweet????? (ok maybe not so happy about Mummy's camera and flash in his face but you know what I mean!!)
one of the things I love doing on my days off is playing with my Pugs. They are lots of fun and I think everyone knows I absolutely worship them both.
Last week I bought them a new rope to chew on/play with in Essendon colours (of course!). Since Elvis was a tiny puppy he has loved playing fetch and he had this tiny little red bone which he loved. So when we were playing fetch the bone today (which Sunny sometimes doesn't get the concept of) I got some "action" photos!
at the moment I am looking at the little things in life that bring me happiness and peace.
this morning, when I woke up, I spent some time with my babies. Just laying close to them, feeling them breathe (or snore in Sunny's case), giving them long cuddles and whispering to them how much they truly mean to me and how much they are loved. As we all woke up more, I got some kisses from both Elvis and Sunny and some good snuggling time.
It's wonderful, quiet, peaceful time, which is something I need more of right now.
Thankyou, Elvis and Sunny, for the unconditional love and puggie-cuddles. You bring me unbridled joy.
Friday week ago, Sunny was, as usual, following Daddy around at his feet. Daddy accidently kicked her in the head - not hard. By Sunday last, her eye had turned blue (which we knew was not good) so on Monday I took her to the vet, where she was diagnosed with a corneal ulcer in her right eye.
Painkillers and antibiotics given, all is OK. We go back Wednesday and things seem to be going OK. So yesterday she went for another check up. By this time, Neil the vet was being refered to in our house as "Sunny's boyfriend", such was the frequency of her visits. Hmmmm he says, leave her here, it isn't healing as well as I hoped.
So I did, and this is how she came home:
Poor little baby, she looks like a satellite dish! Her inner eyelid has been sewn over for a week to let the eye heal and last night she was soooo doped out and really frightened - shaking like a leaf. She goes back next Friday to hopefully get the stitch out and the dish off. She looks scary but so tiny and defenceless too.
Send your puggie vibes to Sunny this week!!
Now I just had to share some photos of my darling Puglets at the beach on the NSW South Coast - aint they cute!!
see, this to me, is what holidays are all about - being with my husband and my kids - they are everything to me. Poor Sunny was scared of the water and stuck pretty close to Daddy but Elvis loved the water!!
