my new project!
I am really happy to announce my new project.
I have had this idea stewing in my mind for some time...I always lament that there are not many resources out there completely dedicated to everything about colour. Many discuss the history of colour, many look at colour theory, many look at colour in art and design....but not many combine it ALL into one place.
My hope is that, over time, I will be able to build something pretty special, as well as adding my own thoughts and occasionally artworks to keep it FUN.
As I enter this final year of study and start thinking about where I want to be when it's done, I keep coming back to the general idea of colour....somehow I want to work with colour.
Maybe designing fabric?
Maybe as a corporate colour expert?
Maybe working with manufacturers to create new colours?
Who knows, there really are so many opportunities. But when Ali talked about her word for 2008, I kept coming back to COLOUR and decided that, not only would colour be my word for this year, but it was time to really focus on it, and really establish how this word can become my life. That's when the concept of the blog came to me...it's a starting point, a place to crystalise my study, my thoughts. A beginning in developing an expertise that I can build my life around.
